 Life Stages of the Puppies....

All puppies born on Neverdone Farm are the offspring of excellent bloodlines. Good health histories, longevity, and personality are all highly desirable traits. Puppies are whelped inside our home so that we can keep a very close watch on them as the first several days are critical for the survival of the pups.

Rear dewclaws are removed, when the puppies are between 3 and 5 days old. We will allow visitors once the puppies are 3 weeks old. By this time the puppies eyes are usually opened, dewclaws are healed and the puppies immune systems are much stronger.

Puppies are on a deworming program that starts at 2 weeks old and continues every two weeks until the puppies go home or up to the age of 12 weeks and then puppies are dewormed once a month.

Puppies are moved to the puppy kennel pen when they are eating on their own around 3 /12 to 4 weeks old.  Their mom usually stays with them for an additional week or two and then the puppies are weaned away from their mothers.

Puppies are usually quite playful by this time and as a family we handle them daily.

At 7 1/2 weeks the puppies are given a thorough exam by our veterinarian, given their first set of vaccinations and are microchipped.

At 8 weeks of age the puppies can go home to their forever families.  Puppies are also able to fly at 8 weeks.
